Weddings at Clonalis House
The hospitable owners of Clonalis House, Pyers and Marguerite O’Conor-Nash together with their family enjoy sharing the romantic history of their magnificent home with guests, making it a stunning venue for intimate weddings.
In recent years Clonalis have hosted micro weddings for parties of up to 30 people. Guests enjoy the intimacy and exclusivity of Clonalis and the grounds on which it stands. There is also a small chapel situated in Clonalis which can host blessings.
The reception rooms are all very spacious, with old furnishings and many interesting historic details, the bedrooms consist of massive four poster and half tester beds with bathrooms to match.
The dining room where wedding guests dine is an impressive and elegant room, with a richly decorated table that is perfect for a special occasion; the room is dressed with flowers and candles to suit the occasion. There are no restrictions except the seasonal closure but the house is not suitable for children.
For guests interested in larger wedding parties, Clonalis can offer the option of a marquee wedding in the walled garden. This facility would include the use of the self catering cottages in the Courtyard at Clonalis.
Guests staying on for a few days will find this a good base from which to explore counties Roscommon, Galway, Mayo and Sligo.
