Keel River Lodge Ballinrobe, Co.Mayo
Keel River Lodge is a luxury self-catering house (Accommodation – 1800sq ft) on the shores of Lough Carra, Ballinrobe, Ireland. It is set in a large (one third acre) enclosed landscaped garden which is safe for children to play in. The house is built in a traditional manner to provide a mix of old world charm with all mod cons. There are breathtaking views over the lake and the Partry mountains which can be viewed from the upstairs lounge. The Lodge itself has also an “old world” feel to it with all solid wood floors/furniture and oak beams. It has it’s own private pier on the lake. The Lodge is ideally located for touring, walking, cycling, golf, horse racing, horse riding, fishing, music, shopping, eating out, and many more things to do.
The house comprises of a large entrance hall, large kitchen with dining area and patio, three bedrooms, two bedrooms have a double and single bed, one of these rooms has an ensuite also. The third bedroom has a double bed and television. There is one bathroom with a bath and shower. There is also a utility room with washing machine and dryer.
The Lodge has traditionally had the top “4 Star Rating” with the Irish Tourist Board since it opened. Standards have been kept exceptionally and consistently high. The proprietors, Joe and Lucy Flannelly are in the Self Catering business since 2000 and the Boat Hire/Guiding business was started by Joe’s Father and Mother in the 1950s. and handed over to Joe in 1980. Joe Flannelly is a Professional Angling Guide on Lough Carra and Lough Mask.
Keel River Lodge is located 4km from Ballinrobe on the N84 to Castlebar.
