Roundwood House

is a warm, welcoming 1730’s house in a delightful setting at the foot of the unspoilt Slieve Bloom Mountains. The classical Palladian facades hide a rich and elaborate interior, with strong Georgian colours and an elegant Chinese Chippendale staircase. Roundwood is a house of immense character and charm, filled with antique furniture and paintings. Book lovers will be particularly impressed by the family’s new Library of the History of Civilisation and the house is surrounded by rambling wooded gardens and parkland. Dinner is prepared with great care and imagination each night. The ingredients are always fresh and there is an extensive wine list.
