With the fishing season now open and what better time to either learn to hone your skills in the craft of fly fishing for salmon! Ballyvolane House is now offering a fantastic opportunity to learn to fly fish on the renowned river Blackwater with one of its most experienced and talented guides.
The course is based at Ballyvolane House and Blackwater Salmon Fishery. It is designed for up to 4 participants under the tuition of Norman Gillett, who is both a qualified instructor holding the Salmon & Trout Association National Instructors Certificate (STANIC) and a member of the Game Angling Instructors' Association (GAIA). All aspects of modern fly-fishing and spinning techniques are covered but emphasis is placed on as much practical fishing as possible. The courses are spread over 2 days and 3 nights starting with dinner at Ballyvolane House on the first night and finishing up after breakfast 2 days later.
€855 per person. Price includes:

To kick off the new Salmon Fishing season at Delphi, we are offering free fishing for the first three weeks of February to our guests who are staying in the lodge. Non-Fishing partners stay for half Price. We are looking forward to welcoming the 'earlybird' anglers eager to wet aline after the long winter.
The Lodge is open Thursday, Friday and Saturday for the month of February. However, for groups of 6 or more we welcome enquiries for other February dates.
