Many Hidden Ireland houses are child friendly. Some houses offer early suppers for children and children's meals and extra beds may be available at reduced rates. If in doubt, do check at the time of reservation.
However most houses have valuable or fragile contents, so you do need to keep an eye on young children. And, in addition, many houses have natural hazards, such as easily climbable walls or trees, lakes or fast flowing rivers nearby. We suggest that intending guests with children should check this out with the owners in advance. These houses offer a real alternative to the conventional family hotels as most houses have large gardens to play in, woods to explore, eggs to collect after breakfast, animals to feed and there are many child-friendly attractions close to the houses.
